Eight UNIMAID Students Perish In Motor Accident

A sad event occurred on June 25,
2014 at about 2pm as a bus
conveying the students of the
University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)
and the School of Nursing, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital to Abuja for a Fellowship of Christian Worship Conference had an accident at Lamari village in Bauchi State, killing eight students while five others
sustained various degrees of injuries.

An eyewitness said that the Toyota Hummer Bus with Registration number MAG 547 AA, which was carrying the students, in an attempt to avoid a head-on collision with an on-coming vehicle, skidded off the
road, somersaulted and crashed into the bush.

We wish the injured students a quick recovery. RIP to the dead.
