This is a very funny one, because if what
you graduate with does not matter to you, it definitely matters to those who are paying your school fees. And if you are
the one paying your school fees, why then are you wasting money if the grade
does not matter? Drop out of school and go and hustle. Have you checked
job advertisements recently? They all want at least a 2’2.
3. Just graduate with a 2’1:
Let me first say that gone are those days. Now most employers know that a second class upper or a 2’1 as we call it, can be bought in Nigerian Universities, therefore more emphasis is being placed on knowledge. So you have to sit up and learn, because out there in the labor market, it is not only about what is written on your certificate, it is also about what you know.
4. I can be friends with anyone i know
myself:
This statement of self-deceit is not found
only among students, it is everywhere. However the truth is, who you associate with inevitably will influence your life. So avoid association with those pop who are not interested in excellence. Pick your friends with great fear.
5. Let me face my studies, later i will look for money:
Contrary to what you have been told at home, you can balance academics with
financial pursuit. If you let opportunities for economic growth slip through your
hands in the name of ‘facing your studies’, when you eventually graduate,
you will be sorry.
