Kogi State University S.U.G PRO Ogiri Cosmos Shares His Resignation Letter [Must Read]

My resignation letter is ready.

I want to thank everyone, Kogi State people and the entire students of Kogi State University, thanking you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as the Public Relations Officer one (a post Austin Okai described is one which no students wanted to contest for).

Call it bowing to pressure, I know the media will say "chicken out" but the fact is that I have weighed every possibilities of making the wrong right and I came to term to resigning is the first step.

Over the years, I have never felt so bad about my personality and my self as Ogiri Emmanuel C. It is a pity how a step could make the entire journey further than expected if not a missed road.

I want to thank Philips Omepa and the entire excos of the Students Union Government 2016 for believing in me and letting me work hand in hand with them all these while, I learned a lot and wish to be with each and everyone of you in a bigger and wider (National) opportunity.

Finally, I am not here to exempt myself of any flaws but I will say it for the last time and for the very last time that I am not guilty of any bribery case, fraudulent activity of any kind and not party to the hardships been experienced by Kogi State University students through the policies of the SUG 2016 excos when I'm a nobody but one big mouthed public relations officer who thought that better days will surely come. And so, I took my job of image making serious on social media.

Before I talk about my frustrated efforts in the students union government I would like to comment on some points raised by accusers that I defrauded students with PayeeCycler.

What's PayeeCycler, it is a peer to peer donations activity that started around December 5th along side the reign of MMM and Ultimate cycler. Difference was that, PayeeCycler payments are made directly to the very person who referred you to the system. Meaning, the website doesn't pay anyone but who ever you refer to the website does.

So many people have developed such a website in recent times. So I see no fraud here where participants knows that earnings comes directly from the in flow of other members.

It is a ponzi scheme, it has been declared illegal in so many countries and Nigeria government have warned participants.

So I believe persons participating knows what they are doing.

Back to my involvement, I did not create PayeeCycler even though I am a programmer, website developer and a certificated webmaster. Anyone who knows otherwise is permitted to come out and talk.

Finally back to Kogi State University and Unionism.

Before I was admitted into the University system I already have my 3000 facebook friends. I was so popular with my tech and story writing activities.

I have already made my first six figures. I don't do class, I do hustle. My friends around me and residents of sabongari and ofukolo in idah LGA would testify that I am not ashamed of doing anything aside stealing (have no record of such at all).

Even as a graduate ('09 secondary school graduated) I hawked kerosene, I sold engine oil and I charged batteries (no record of any missing phone), all these to make money aside blogging until I got admitted in KSU.

Whence I got admitted to Kogi State University, I did not leave the good spirits in idah, I came to Anyigba and studied the business there and I started online course form registration, typing of assignments and I got engaged in entertainment too.

I got so popular in KSU right from my 100 levels to the extent that one Emmanuel Kolawole introduced me to Kogi State University Forum where I boosted it's membership to an unbeatable 35,000 members.

Amidst my popularity and the nick name viral, I hawked books on the street and main roads of Kogi State University. I hawked books to jambites to earn my first million. I did not look at the shame or the effect of sun on my skin, I went further because I know where I came from-family.

Books, typing and photocopies I did throughout my days in school even when I became the SUG PRO.

Finally as the Public Relations Officer I experienced a lot about leadership and the need to be the end and not the tail.

All I could do as the PRO was to advise my president on what I think is good. I have never collected bribe from anyone, government official or even from the management. In fact, Bello or his caucus don't even know me. The Vice Chancellor of KSU don't even know me. Then who will bribe me?

The following are my efforts as the public relations officer.

1. Philip gave me a mandate to implement free Wi-Fi to KSU Students. Yes, when we got elected, he asked me in a pre-general meeting to come up with means or total cost of bringing about free Wi-Fi to the students.

These assignments I took upon myself without collecting a penny from SUG. In fact, knowing that Philip or the entire SUG has no money for such project because he said his capital project will be building of a student center.

I contacted a company that sent someone from Lagos to KSU. He was poorly received by the SUG, no accommodation nor attention was given to him.

I received him, and took him to the secretary of the union where he should be taken to the SUG president. He came up with the idea of providing an application that the students could browse with and do their assignments for a monthly or per sessional fee. I agreed this can be paid from SUG dues or from school fees, it was a token less then N80 per student including a life time commissions to the initiators of the idea. I agreed but later I heard the man and his company was frustrated by the Union which requested for an upfront payment.

That's is the last time I heard anything about the Wi-Fi.

2. Students Identity and Bank Offer.

Yes, one of the major problems faced by students of KSU is lack of ID card. This has caused a lot of harassment to students and unnecessary arrest.

I met and explained this to Skye Bank management in Anyigba, they promised to be of help and I gave them my president's number he was called and later I heard that the students will be provided with an ATM which will serve as an identity card bearing the holders name, passport and other information on it.

The only commitment is that students interested will have to open a student's account with the bank.

The bank was not ready to provide money to anyone but the last I heard was that my president argued that this is to the interest of the bank more than to the students and as such Skye Bank should exchange some monetary gesture to enable the union with its capital project (the student center).

That is all about that.

3. Keke NAPEP and Okada Saga.

I remember that in our first meeting I brought the idea that we should introduce Keke along side the bike we have so that the most efficient one will stay.

The idea was so welcomed, Phillip agreed to take the suggestion to the school management and that was all I know.

Later, though coincidentally the union started have issues with the Okada people over the money they remit to SUG.

It was Okada people that went on strike and not any SUG asking them to stop, in fact Phillip begged them to stay but the school management said they have been plans to stop the Okada riders.

4. Six hours power supply.

Finally among the few I would like to mention is my last plea to Philip.

I realised how messed up the administration is, I walked up to a politician who agreed to to give me (the union) a mikano in so far I would put his name and picture on it.

I then pleaded with Philip to cut a portion of land to me where I would set up an open center for games and where I will provide a six hours straight power supply for students use and also for my personal online registration (business).

This plea, I told Philips about never came to past. Maybe I didn't settle the union well.

5. The image maker.

Yes, I tried my best to cover all of the above even though it was hard for the students to believe me because we truly achieved nothing physically.

PS: I once again appreciate you all you. Am so sorry I was a part of the administration but all of the above are nothing but the truth.

Do forgive me. Am so sorry.
