Depression Female LASPOTECH student commits suicide

Damilola Adegoke could no longer face life

A female undergraduate of the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), identified as Damilola Adegoke, has reportedly committed suicide by drinking a poisonous insecticide called Sniper.
According to one of her close friends, Damilola Anyanwale, Adegoke killed herself on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at her home and was discovered by her mother who returned from an outing to find her daughter lying on the floor with the bottle of poison beside her.

Though she did not leave a suicide note, her friends believed Adegoke must have been suffering from depression and when she could not deal with it, she decided to kill herself.
Anyanwale took to her Facebook wall to announce the untimely death of her friend:
"No matter the circumstances, worries, troubles, disaster, never look down on yourself and always pray hard.
It's a pity this tight friend of mine, Damilola Adegoke, took sniper yesterday and gave up the ghost after uploading her pics on FB. May her soul rest in peace."

In another post, Ayanwanle wrote:
"No amount of problem is worth taking your own life; she was hardworking and highly dedicated but only her knew her personal pains and challenges.
Maybe she shared and you and I couldn't help her out. In fact, nothing justifies taking poison. Well, farewell Damilola Adegoke, we will remember you forever."
Another friend of the deceased, Akanbi Sodeeq Oluwamore, also commented on the sad incident on his Facebook wall:
"I still can't believe this. Damilola Adegoke, why did you do this to us? I see no reason for you to poison yourself and died.

It's painful; may God forgive you all your sins. We love you but God loves you more.#Damilola the only girl that calls me #MrFalz; the whole LASPOTECH will forever miss you. Rest in peace dear."
