This is the reply Philip Omepa posted on his Facebook page read below
"You think blackmailing me to gain your personal interest ends here. One thing is paramount about truth, no matter how long it gets, it will surely come out. you might feel KSU students hates me today but the successes of our administration will not be felt today but I know in no distant time will be felt.
From inception of SUG till date, I am the only one who has accessed the least fund, still yet we took the future of KSU SUG important to the extent of building the students centre to lintel level with 4million Naira. This money could build chairs and toilets but KSU students can't continue with such petty project every year. We needed to have a place of our own. A secretariat, a photocopy/business centre, an eatery etc. Hence the need for this project.
However, even if the students centre is counted as nothing, I remembered July 14th protest was record breaking demonstration that almost caused some of us our lives and admission. Even the union wanted going for it.
If truth be told, okada wasn't banned by me. The committee to implement campus taxi already existed long before my administration with a student representative abubakar Isah (the treasurer of the interim government).
Recommendations already made to kick of the program before we came on board. The wisdom to remain calm on this issue was borne out of the fact that any demonstration might take us home and our calender was already defaulted, hence the need to be diplomatic about the subject matter couple with the issue of decentralization.
It is worthy of note that during our tenure, recommendations made to the Senate that students been held down with one carryover should be left to graduate. Approved by the Senate.
Even in the midst of hardship, all these successes recorded. I will leave every student to judge. It might not be now, but in the future.
If as acclaimed by the PRO that in my tenure nothing good happened and he means we'll for the students, why hasn't he voiced out all the while. But I will leave GOD the knower of all truth to judge.
Finally, there was peace on campus that no student was killed due to cult activities. There is no year that students won't be killed by cult groups but it is worthy of note that through out last year, nothing of such happened.
I am not a miracle worker or a magician that will finish all problems KSU have. But I think I have tried my best with most of all, good intentions. I have never in one way or the other fraud any students to pay money in the name of doubling it as payee cycle and cart away with it. Let the truth be told. That today, the choice is placed before the students, to choose between truth and blackmails.
