MANAGEMENT MEMO TO ASUU KSU ON PROSCRIPTION

The University Management was today in receipt of a letter from the State Government proscribing the activities of Academic Union of Universities (ASUU), Kogi State University, Anyigba Chapter.

According to the University Management, the directive is sequel to the negative and the unbecoming practices of ASUU KSU which has stalled academic programmes in the University for about 7 months now. Consequently, the future of students is being mortgaged, against the philosophy and good intentions of the present Administration.

Management has, therefore, directed that all activities pertaining to ASUU KSU on campus stands proscribed with effect from 19th July, 2017.

The Univ Management, therefore, consider it illegal to hold any meeting of Academic Staff members, under any guise. All members of Academic Staff are by the circular requested to note that they will be treated based on their individual terms and conditions of employment.

The circular further stated that any member of staff that fail to resume and perform his or her duties will be deemed to have voluntarily resigned.

The Chief Security Coordinator (CSC), by a copy of the letter, was requested to monitor and ensure that no illegal meeting, by Academic Staff members, hold under any guise on this campus.

All academic staff were therefore advised in the memo to abide by the directives of the University Management and the State Government to avoid unpleasant consequence.

Pls help circulate this IMPORTANT information.
