Gaining admission into the university
should not be a do-or-die affair, but a 24- year-old female pre-degree student of a University in the South-South has attempted suicide after she failed to gain admission into the university for a degree programme.
After going through the list of students that succeeded in gaining admission for a degree programme in the University on the internet and found out tha her name was missing, she decided to poison herself.
One of her roommate who noticed what was going on quickly called for help and she was rushed to the hospital.
In the hospital, the doctor ran some tests, and it was discovered that she wanted to commit suicide.
The doctor said if she had stayed a
moment longer she would have died.
The doctor then gave her some drugs to flush the poison out of her system and advised her to take life one step at a time.
