KSU Strike Update: I Have Met 80% of ASUU's Demands - Gov Yahaya Bello

Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has implored the striking members of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Kogi State University Chapter, to resume work and stop the agony students and parents are going through.
Governor Bello made the appeal this evening during an interactive stakeholder meeting in government house, Lokoja.
Bello hinted that Kogi State University, KSU, needs holistic overhaul.
Clarifying issues related to lecturers' demands, Bello said the state government have met 80% of KSU ASUU 's demand.
"What I would not grant is the waiver on their PAYEE. It is unjust to enjoy the taxes paid by others when you don't pay", he said.
He urged ASUU to go back to work.
