SECURITY ALERT: Kogi state university Chief security Coordinator (CSC) warn students against night outings and others

The institution's Chief Security Coordinator (CSC) recently, on behalf of the University Management, passed a circular on the need for restraints on night
outings.

According to the circular, this has become necessary in view of the recent kidnapping and brutal killing of a member of staff of the University on 21st November,
2014. Staff and students have been advised to exercise caution/restraint on night activities (outings) especially outside the University campus as their is seldom a relaxation item in town that is not found in the Senior
Staff Club on campus.

This is coming also as intelligence report suggest that there are criminal elements in Anyigba and environs. Even though the Police are up and doing, it is better to play safe in the interest of personal safety and that of members of family.

The circular further highlighted on the Christmas festivities and 2015 general elections fast approaching,
which usually have high correlation with criminality in
the land. it is therefore instructive that we should embrace maximum cautious behaviour.

The following lines could be reached in case of any distress call only:

1) 08037385345 or 08058411280 - CSC
2) 07063807427 - CSO
3) 08133257103 - Security Office
4) 08033606126 - DCO

ALWAYS BE ALERT, WATCHFUL AND REPORT ANY CASE OF ABNORMAL SCENE.
