Over 14,000 Ogun indigenes studying at various tertiary instructions in the country will benefit from the N117 million allocated for the state's 2014/15 Bursary Awards.
According to the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Segun Odubela, Governor Ibikunle Amosun has approved and released, the sum of N117,271, 000 which will be paid to 14, 550 students.
Odubela said the monies will be paid into the individual beneficiaries' accounts.
Student Pulse gathered that 4,948 of the beneficiaries are final year students while 9,506 are on other levels of their studies.
There are also 96 Law School students in the list.
He added that the state government is committed to students' welfare.
It will be recalled that there was a face-off between Amosun and students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, (OOU) in August 2014, caused by school fees hike
