Kogi state university is full of talents, I mean raw talents, ranging from Musical Artist, Dancers, Mcs, Comedians, Cinematographers, graphic designers, models, bloggers, Event planners and the likes. But yet the glory and fame ends immediately after graduation, why?
In this Article, we have highlighted 10 possible reasons listed below.
1. School fame:
School fame is that popularity they enjoy on campus, which makes them forget they will graduate soon and forget to work on connection outside school. They misuse the fame and mostly concentrate on going home with the hottest babe's on campus. Because at this level they believed they have arrived and they tend to relax because they have little or no competition to deal with.
2. Drugs/Gangsterism:
Some kogi state university artist who are gifted with talents do more of drugs which consumed their time and money. It also get to the stage where it affects their thinking. Gangsterism on the other hand affect them because after school once their school gang split they find it difficult to stand on their feet alone.
3. Lack of Promotion:
They lack promotion especially outside school. They hardly use good medium in promoting their good works outside school. KSU artist will pay for recording and graphics design but will find it difficult to pay for the services of a good Promoter online. They lack promotion in all aspect. Imagine an artist not having a google profile?, no social media account.
4. Unnecessary spending :
Just because they want to be notice on campus. They can spend a fortune to buy ordinary t-shirt, shoe gadgets and dont want to spend money on their career, some KSU artists don't even have a phone to access the Internet, they dont pay for their studio session, all they do is club, buy the latest wears, flex and forget to invest in their career.
5. Gambling/Alcohol:
They use every opportunity to gamble. Nairabet or Bet9ja is not bad. But as an artist there are some things you should Quit doing.
Some even go to the level of using their accessories to gamble, play cha cha and. Alcohol also is not bad, but too much of it can ruin your career.
6. Womanizing/Flirting:
Stop Womanizing if you are one, girls are the worst distraction ever, if you dont know, now you know.
Most ksu artist womanizes alot, which makes them not toN concentrate on their artistic work, rather they jump around from one girl to another or one guy to another.
7. unnecessary beef:
Jealousy jealousy in Don Jazzy's Voice Some artist spend their limited time envying another artist who is getting it right than them, that makes them to do stupid things and not concentrate on their self. Stop envying and start supporting your selves. Pay more attention to your career than envying another artist.
8. Following the Wrong cliq or joining The wrong Label:
Some artist especially when they just got in their 100level on campus and dont know whatsup, tends to fall to the wrong hands of people who manages them, or an Entertainment label who would just tie them down and kill their career on campus, such entertainment label do not manage the artist well, no publicity, no shows, nothing.
9. Pride
Pride kills and brings down Artist career fast. Some ksu artist can form as if "them don blow". Stop famzing, stop leaving a fake live all in the name of "Packaging"
