Kogi State University Student Quincy Eseosa Currently The Face Of Zirock Embarks on A Peace Online Campaign against Rape, Child Abuse and Human Trafficking

Hi, My name is Okiri Quincy Eseosa. I'm a 300l Microbiology student of Kogi State University. I've had a burden in my heart from childhood to fight for our women and children who are victims of domestic violence, especially the girl-child who is a constant victim of such assault. I had thought to wait till i was done with school and had enough resources gathered to start a foundation but the reality that I could start with anything no matter how little it is dawned on me recently, because If I will wait till I have it all, I may never start at all. The movie "DRY" by STEPHANINE LINUS and the recent happenings in our society especially the case of ESE UHURU revived that burning desire within me. The rate of abuse in our society is rapidly increasing, with women and children being the common victims. So many young girls and ladies are been molested day in day out, they are under constant abuse from men physically, mentally, emotionally and of course sexually. They are also under the threat of being kidnapped by men who ought to be fathers, uncles, brothers, guardians and friends. And you know what? The victims are scared to speak out because of fear, because they've been threatened, because they re under constant watch by the perpetrators of this evil. Sweetheart, you can't continue to die in silence. Speak out! Yes! I know it's difficult but it's worth trying, don't die in silence because silence itself kills faster than "death". Like my friend Mercy Ndagi will say "NO LET SILENCE KILL YOU". Are you a female who has been abused, is being abused or is under any form of threat? Or do you know anyone in such a situation? Are you a victim of domestic violence? We are here to help you out with counsellors who are always on deck to listen, advice and pray with you-if you want- We are open at anytime of the day. We came together as one and joined forces for a peace online campaign. Aim: To ensure we have a society free from molestation and assault against the female gender Mode Of Operation: Counselling via one on one interaction and social media Objective: Our hope is that this will help victims speak out and also help women recognise their rights ensuring a reduction in assaults inflicted upon them by members of the opposite sex. The success of this campaign will not only be felt by the women who have or are victims of various assaults, the impact of this campaign will also be felt by the society at large.
