Kogi State University Nakoss President Advice Ksu Students About The Ongoing Asuu Strike

Advise to all Kogi state University Students to Disregard any Information without a definite or an Authorised Source as regards the ongoing ASUU “No pay No work” Action.

Relying on the widespread of rumour by an unknown person who claimed to be a reporter from The Guardian Newspaper that the State governor has directed that the hostels should be locked and that the strike will last for 4 months, ‘ I wish to first and foremost say that: this report is highly unprofessional and as such lacks credence.

I wish to state that there is already an ongoing negotiation between the state Government and the Union to ensure that the ‘No pay No work’ action is called off, so that lecturers will get back to work and students will resume subsequently. It is important to note that myself and the S.U.G President (comrade Shaibu Philip Omepa) are highly concerned and we are in all possible means appealing to the both parties for their understanding.
Therefore, I urge us all to be patient as the negotiation goes on and there should be no need for panicking and fear as all concerned parties are showing positive response. Informations like that is only meant to cause unnecessary chaos and will only end up having negative impact on the entire University Community and by implication the students the more. As the Negotiation goes on, necessary informations will be made known to the public through the appropriate sources.

Long Live kogi state,
Long Live Kogi State University
Long Live Lovers of Peace and Education.

– Abdulmalik Hadi Adinoyi.
NAKOSS President KSU.

Kogi State University Nakoss President "Hadi" Talks About the Just Concluded SUG Elections – Appreciation, Challenges and Success

First, we thank God Almighty for His Guidance and Grace which has lead us this far. I also wish to say a big thank you to the Vice Chancellor Pro. Mohammed Sanni Abdulkadir and Indeed the entire University management for putting the trust on us for the conduct of the election.

I can tell you that from history available the just concluded election is the best student Union Government Election held so far since the beginning of Student Unionism in Kogi state university and this is owing to so many factors but this is not to say that there were no challenges. I also owe a debt thanks to the members of the electoral committee headed by the Dean Student Affair, Dr Benjamin Ogwo for a Job well done.

Sincerely, I see this as a total new beginning for our S.U.G in K.S.U but we must all understand that things can only get better if we sit aside tribal, religious and political ideological differences and we Hope the new set of Excos lead by My very good friend “Comrade Shaibu Philip Omepa” deliver in their campaign promises by putting students interest first in all their political and official conducts.

The glory of the election is not so much of mine as it seems or as people may think or believe but it is of us all because while we make the plans, the co-operation of the public helps for better execution.

The CSC Major Adam (RTD) and other prominent members of the Security Sub-committee of the ELCOM including our own leader DR. S.O Usman of the political Science Department and Comrade Pascal Okpanachi and Comrade Okolo Papa of Law and Agric Faculty, The Hard work must be applauded.

The challenges I recorded in the election was in the timing as students have to wait for more than scheduled to get themselves accredited but we thank God that be it as it was, no student was denied his/her of voting for reasons caused by the Elcom.
Another good record was the reduction in the price of Nomination Forms by aspirants which was highly commended by the Aspirant themselves.

The publicity sub-committee of the Elcom must also be praised for the proper dissemination the necessary informations on the wide spread of rumour by some ill-minded persons that I had a favourite in the election, I wish to appeal to members of the public that it is a total lie as all the proceedings and activities of the Elcom was never influenced bby me for such purpose and the Elcom was fair and transparent in their dealings and this has gone along way to prove that they are all Men of Integrity both from the staff and Student composition.

Finally, I must say that the present NAKOSS Administration has no intention to side line any section of the state or school in their dealings and I should want to believe that so it will be in the S.U.G.
Congratulations to us all especially the Contestants regardless of what the election brought for any of them.

Congratulations to Us All.
Abdulmalik Hadi A. (IRIMI).

Important Notice To Kogi State University Students From The New NAKOSS President – ABDULMALIK HADI ADINOYI

AN IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL K.S.U STUDENTS FROM THE DESK OF NAKOSS PRESIDENT K.S.U CHAPTER. (ABDULMALIK HADI ADINOYI)
Please be informed that activities regarding registration for the first semester phase of the 2015/2016 academic session officially begins on the 11th of January 2016 upon arrival on the 10th. You will agree with me that the circular released before the break as regards the session’s academic calendar reads 3rd for Arrival and 4th for Registration but at an emergency meeting later held by the University Senate after the circular, A Committee of Deans was set up to review the previously released Academic Calendar and that was what lead to the new one that reads 10th for Arrival and 11th for the commencement of registration exercise expected to last for a period of two academic weeks.

Please also note that payment of School Fees shall be done manually to the school’s account through any of the Zenith Banks PLC nationwide and as such no provision for E-payment like last session if you will recall.

Finally the ongoing strike by the State’s civil servants under the Aegis of Kogi Labour Congress for non-payment of three months salary does not affect resumption for the new session as members of ASUU and few of NASUU are on ground for services.

Please do accept my hearty new year wishes and extend this messages to friends and family members that may be concerned. Happy resumption fellow Nakossites!

Abdulmalik Hadi Adinoyi.
